I am installing on an Amazon AMI – I went through the installation and got all green go boxes on the final screen.

When I click on the final button to start it give me a blank white screen.

I have checked my install log and clear cache. What else am I missing?

Hi, I had similar issues. Finally got thru by installing through console

Also check whether filesystem permissions are okay,as this was another issue I faced in similar situation.

If setfacl is not installed, on ubuntu, you can install with

    Hope this helps!

If this is true, It would be good if the installation step could identify if the system are using ACL and if the system can write in these specific folders.

That worked, however now I can login as myself and I created a new user, but when I try to login as that user I get a blank white screen

    To re-iterate my problem:

I have the application installed and working, I can login as myself.

I created a new user and when that user tries to login they get a blank white screen.

    Hi,

Can you try clearing cache folder manually

    Then intialize cache without warmup

When this goes without any error, rebuild cache again

    and try?

Yes it appears to be a cache issue. When I remove my cache and rebuild I am able to login, but after my second attempt I am not able to access – Same white screen.

I think I have it working, I have change the ownership of my app/cache directory to apache:apache and it appears to be working now.

    Hi,

thanks for the update. Yes, it depend on your system’s webroot user (ubuntu by default has www-data, which I posted). we too had similar ordeal initially, till we got the filesystem permissions right.
