Customize email notification sender email and name?

Hey there :)

Did I miss that part in the documentation (or is it not documented?) how to customize/configure the sender email and the sender name for example for mail notifications like “forgot password”?

In NotificationBundle I found that there exists a configuration for “email_notification_sender_email” and “email_notification_sender_name” under root “oro_notification”, but it seems to be hardcoded in Oro\Bundle\NotificationBundle\DependencyInjection\Configuration class. Is it possible to override that in config.yml and if so, how?

You can configure it: System > Configuration > Notifications.

It could be done as a data fixture on code level as well if you are looking to use it for deployment purposes.
