Hi,
I have 1.4.0-rc1 platform/crm installed. I have downloaded and activated “Italian” language but everything remains in english.
What is quite strange that I have both “Italian” and “Italian(Italy)” as available languages. “Italian” = “it” and “Italian(Italy)” = “it_IT”.If I activate “Italian” language in localization settings nothing happens. If I activate “Italian(Italy)” (which I think should be the correct one) – I get an icu error saying that in locales there is no “it_IT.res” file.
I have signed up on crowdin to help w\ italian translations but I need to know how to do this.
thanksoro/platform(1.6.2) + oro/doctrine-extensions(1.0.7) + symfony/symfony(v2.3.27)

Hello
When you have downloaded and activated Italian at System->Configurations->Language setting all remains in English because there is 0% translated at Italian
To get access to Crowdin translations you need to register at Crowdin service and request translation access at Platform and OroCRM projects, here https://crowdin.com/project/oro-platform and here https://crowdin.com/project/oro-crm
After that you can translate to Italian and after translation will be approved by proofreader they will be available for download at our applicationIf Italian is your native language we can grant you access as a proofreader for Italian language
Can you please give more clear steps to reproduce how you get icu error
If you have any questions feel free to ask
October 9, 2014 at 9:02 am #26305Oh!
I found your request for translations and it approved
So now you can create translations
https://crowdin.com/project/oro-crm/it
https://crowdin.com/project/oro-platform/it
just click at files and you will see phrases for translations, in center part you type your translation and after that press Commit buttonOctober 13, 2014 at 6:06 am #26306hi,
1) today i tried to reproduce the icu error without success – all is working fine so pls ignore that.
2) now I have set my oro to use the italian language (yes i know it is not translated) – which are the files that are involved? Where are they? I have only found one .js file in the web directory. Are all translations in there (both platform and app)?
3) Crowdin is very impressive. I will v. soon start adding translations. When will the translations added in crowdin will be available inside my oro deployment for download? Do you have a weekly schedule of some sort? is it automatic? are my translations proofread?
thanks in advance

December 11, 2014 at 5:34 am #26309Hello
Also there can be an issue when you first open this page with translations, and it would be great if you check your prod.log
Also you can clear cache with command1app/console cache:clear --env prodand after that refresh Language settings page and proxy server will return new translation statuses, because in standard it will update stats only once per 24h
Thank you for your patience and support

AlessandraJanuary 18, 2015 at 9:48 am #26312Hello, I tried to download italian from configuration panel (translation that is more than 0% now). But I receive an error related with my bundles:
123Could not download translations, error: Error parsing YAML, invalid file "/Users/ale/Sites/crm-application-master/src/EducaCloud/Bundle/EducaEventBundle/Resources/translations/messages.it.yml"I provided italian translation in my bundles, is it wrong?
How can I translate my bundles? Thanks
AlessandraJanuary 18, 2015 at 11:01 pm #26313Sorry, it works, it was a YML error. But when I download italian language nothing happens: italian translation is not approved. I am italian if you want I can go ahead in translation (with jakabadambalazs).
Thanks
AlessandraJanuary 19, 2015 at 8:26 am #26314Hi @Jedi, Ciao @alendo,
What’s the story here? We have worked a little – we brought the platform translations to 34% and I am really happy that Alessandra is interested in jumping in. We have concentrated our efforts on the platform and I think before anything else it is to be brought to 100%.
As Alessandra says, the translations are there but they are not approved.
How does the approval process work? Once we have inserted all the translations what else is there to be done so that they can be downloaded and used?
Thanks

February 2, 2015 at 6:56 am #26315Dear @Jedi,
Can you promote me to proofreader on Crowdin? We have nearly finished adding all translations for the platform ~95% but approval is around 6% (as reported by OroPlatform).
Thanks

February 2, 2015 at 7:02 am #26316Hi jakabadambalazs, I’m approving, but not so quickly …
February 2, 2015 at 9:25 am #26317Hi @alendo!
we are @100%!!! – all platform translations have been inserted. I am glad you’re working on this as well because I was feeling a bit alone ;)
I have already caught a few translations which, seen in application context, sound strange – we can correct them as we go along such as: “Registra attività” which should be “Registro attività”.
have a good one.
